Workshops:At Espacio Kuu we offer a number of workshops in psychophysical actor training, theatre making and deep creative, transformational performance practices. These workshops are aimed at students, theatre professionals and those who seek to explore personal and interpersonal development through holistic practices of movement, song and artistic expression.
THE ART OF BEING:
An introductory workshop to the deepening of the actor's basic skills of presence, seeing, listening and moving in harmony and in disharmony through the performance space. Learning thus to move the fundamental energies needed for acting: intention, the physical, the mental and the emotional bodies on space... MEETING THE THIRD DANCER:
This workshop explores the power of encounter between I and the Other. Through gentle tools drawn out of performance practices we begin to map and to unmap our sense of boundary of self and our experience of the other, as body, space and environment... IN THE ELEMENTS:
The Elements work session is based in an exploration of the elements as tools for deepening presence and developing creative expression and creative engagement in the present moment. The work is influenced by theory and practice of the Chakras and a consideration of the elements in the body as understood in Mayan Toltecan Philosophy. As such, the training initially focuses on cleansing the body and the mind, and releasing the individual into freedom of expression and experience. WHERE AND WHEN?
A meditative workshop designed to explore practically our capacity to be present in the Here and the Now. The workshop explores the possibility of being kindly present in our own physical and mental experience and develops ways of bringing more attention to everyday activities such as walking, listening and responding to stimuli. To be at peace with myself is to find the way to accept my experience of the world and my experience of myself. |

For more information: https://www.hud.ac.uk/research/researchcentres/cppr/projects/nunezarchive/ Martin Westman, a finnish swedish speaking poet and writer who collaborated in Inelden:
Martin got to know Karoliina through his daughter, K´s friend, in the girls' early theatre days in Karjaa, Finland. Happy to have been asked from time to time for poetry feedback and contributions, he continues to be much impressed by K´s brave and many-faceted career. Chatting with Javier about life and literature during their Finland visit last winter was also nice. Martin is a retiring psychologist/neuropsychologist with an interest in poetry. He tweets at https://twitter.com/Mufthur, and lives in Karis, Finland. Latest (but hopefully not last) book of poems in Swedish was http://www.sets.fi/bok/latsas-vara-en-sorglos-turist/. Single poems have kept appearing in Swedish-language literary magazines in Finland. Taking part in face-to-face and online courses with London-based Poetry School have been a recent source of encouragement. He´s working on a collection related to his great-grandfather and Civil War Spain. |
